I know I’ve been slacking with the blog posts during the month of April- this month has been crazy stressful! But I definitely haven’t been missing out on my shopping. So this month, here are my five favorites PLUS ONE. Here are some of my favorite things I purchased and wore during the month of April. I have them all linked below here so y’all can wear them too-
Gingham Bikini- J.Crew recently moved both the top and bottoms to sale! The bikini bottom is now only $29.99 (previously $44) and the off the shoulder bikini top is now $39.99 (previously $58). All sale items are also an extra 30% off right now! Get this bikini before it sells out. If turquoise isn’t your color, this bathing suit also comes in pink or navy.
Floral Perfume- Vince Camuto’s fiori scent can be purchased at ULTA or directly from the Vince Camuto website. I found the entire gift set with shower gel and lotion at a local Marshall’s, so check there too!
White Summer Bag- I’m in love with the Tory Burch Parker Small Tote in “new ivory”. It is made of saffiano leather and has FIVE pockets. I purchased the small size, but there is also a larger version. The interior is bright orange which is a fun surprise. If you’re not looking for a white bag it also comes in navy, black, tan, cobalt blue or red.
Off-the-Shoulder Top- J.Crew did it again with this darling top. I’m currently obsessed with gingham and I love that this top is in a fun grass green color. This one also comes in classic navy gingham. I’ll be pairing mine with white skinny jeans for the rest of spring and chino shorts this summer.
Something Turquoise- One of Kendra Scott‘s best sales of the year happens during Easter- this year all clearance items were an extra 30% off! I scored this turquoise Andy Bracelet for a great deal, but even though that sale is over the bracelet is still marked down to clearance in all colors. If the color you’re looking for is sold out online, call your local store.
Gold Ballet Flats- These are J.Crew‘s Cece Ballet Flats in metallic platinum. I know, ANOTHER J.Crew item! But, give me a break- these flats are made ENTIRELY IN ITALY for only $138. The leather is soft and the rubber sole is bouncy. I love them for chilly spring days when I don’t want to wear sandals or for work in a cold office when heels are just not happening. Basically, they’re a wear-everywhere closet staple that will last me years.
Okay, that’s it for my April Favorites! Happy shopping!
These are my top five favorite items I purchased in the month of March! These items are tried and true by me personally- and I love em. You probably already noticed me styling these items on Instagram last month and will definitely see these pieces pop up again in the future. I have them all linked below for y’all! Happy shopping!
Sky Blue Statements- J.Crew‘s Beaded Rumba Earrings in cornflower blue. These earrings also come in red, black, clear, gold and olive green. So many choices!
Fitted Tank- Lilly Pulitzer’s Arya Tank in Lovers Coral which is sold out in stores, but found this one at T.J. Maxx for a great deal. I took an XS. Similar tank at Lilly Pulitzer now if your local T.J. Maxx doesn’t have it.
Striped Ruffle Top- J.Crew‘s Ruffle-sleeve Top in ivory navy, I took an XS and it’s available in solid white or solid baby pink as well.
Neutral Lips- Lorac‘s PRO Matte Lip Color in Nude Pink, ULTA is running a sale right now so hurry!
Gold Flats- Jack Roger’s Gabrielle Ballet Flat in gold, purchased on sale from Amazon. Limited sizes are left and these are on deep discount so add to cart quickly! These flats are true to size, I took the same size I wear in Jack Roger’s sandals. They also come in black.
Sale alert! I’ve had my eye on this ruffled chambray dress for a while now and it finally got marked down to sale. I snatched it up immediately and had to put this look together for y’all before this dress sold out online. This is probably going to be my favorite throw-on-and-go item this spring! I love the light blue colored chambray and of course the ruffles across the top are a huge trend that I’m going to be wearing all 2017. Here I’ve dressed it down with gold sandals and jewelry but it would look great with bright statement earrings and wedges.
I’m wearing a size 2 in this dress and I’m normally between a size 2 and 4 so I would say this dress does run maybe a half size big, if you’re normally between sizes take your smaller size. The only two cons I noticed are that a) it does get wrinkled VERY easily, these photos were taken after I sat in the car for just thirty minutes and b) the matching belt it comes with wasn’t doing it for me so I did remove that. Overall I love this dress and can’t wait to style it differently! Links below to my entire outfit-
Dress: J.Crew on sale for $69.99 and an additional 30% off (run!)
Shoes: Tory Burch
Jewelry: Kendra Scott custom color bar- gold filigree
Making a quick post in honor of one of my favorite holidays- Valentine’s Day! A storm rolled in last night and brought a cold front in with it but I was not letting that ruin my V Day style. Nothing screams Valentine’s Day like a pink dress- I layered an oversized cardigan over my favorite scalloped shift dress to keep warm and slipped on these adorable faux suede heels I picked up recently. I love the criss cross straps and the chunky heel, and the subtle nude color goes with everything. Also, they’re super similar to a $600 Gucci pair that is to die for.
Y’all are gonna be grumpy because everything I’m wearing is sold out except the jewelry- so I went and hunted down similar pieces and linked those below.
Dress: TJ Maxx (similar here and here)
Cardigan: Cotton On (similar here, here and also here.)
Shoes: Forever 21 (almost identical here, here, a gold version here and just for fun the Gucci pair that inspired all of the others.
My favorite thing about growing up and living in Austin, Texas is that we have warm weather 9 months out of the year- I can always expect spring to arrive in early February! This dress is the Carmel Printed Tank Dress from Lilly Pulitzer from their Summer 2016 collection (picked it up for a deal during the January After Party Sale) and although initially I was hesitant about the print I have grown to adore this dress! The pink and orange lemons give it whimsy and the soft slub cotton makes it easy to throw on- the perfect choice for an after-class lunch date with my man and a cupcake sundae afterwards. I dressed it up here by throwing on a pair of white wedges and my favorite string of freshwater pearls and matching faux pearl studs.
Dress: Lilly Pulitzer
Shoes: These were a gift, but similar linked here
Necklace: Sam Moon real freshwater pearls for an AMAZING price!
Earrings: Sam Moon faux pearls, still an amazing price
Lip Color: MAC in Runway Hit
And if you’re local and that lettuce wrap plate made your mouth water, Yard House at Domain Northside is great and Sprinkles Cupcakes finally opened an Austin, Texas location! Yay for a 24/7 Cupcake ATM!
One of my very favorite trends for this year has to be these oversized ruffles I’m seeing everywhere right now. I love how they make me feel feminine and dramatic all at the same time. This J.Crew top from early December is sold out now, but of course they came to the rescue and released an almost identical spring iteration. Here I layered a gold tassel necklace and matching statement earrings over it for lunch then a trip to one of my favorite local spots- Hey! Cupcake for a quick treat. This cupcake shop has been a favorite of mine since I was a little girl and always pleases. Everything I’m wearing is linked below-happy shopping!
